Day 23 Evening comment

As we write this we have retired to our stateroom (cabin) and have the sliding door open as we enter Paris. It is really beautiful.  Simon has been  on deck and taken a photo of the Eiffel Tower which is lit up at 11 pm each evening. The river is very busy, quite a change from the past few days we travelled into Normandy.

This evening we have been briefed on the transfer to the train on Sunday and our embarkation of River Royale at Lyon.  Our luggage is transported for us so we just pack and organise our hand luggage.  All good.

Tomorrow morning we will visit Monmatre and spend some time in Paris looking at some shops.  We have made friends with two American couples who are not picking up the second stage of the tour.   We will miss them.

So everyone it's time to sign off.  Love to all.

  1. Hi there Faye and Simon,

Enjoying following your travels, looks very relaxing on deck there Simon, better than being on a cruise ship rolling around from side to side, Steinlager falling over etc.

Great to see some photos on there at last ! keep them coming. Good way to cruise in to Paris compared to driving I bet. Wet and wintery here, off to Tony Fabling 5oth tonight in Hamilton.

  2. Hi there. I have just updated myself on your last three blogs. You are so busy and seeing amazing things. We love the photos... I am so glad the book is useful. It's great you are meeting some people - that is an added bonus to travelling, meeting new people. You will have a whole load of new friends after this trip.. and more reasons to travel again!

The rain has finally arrived after many forecasts... it sounds very strange to be saying in August - but the plants really needed rain.. some of ours are going yellow - we had the sprinklers on the other day!.

We are all good... Keep on enjoying and updating the blogs - they are great to read. x
