We picked up our rental car, an Audi A3, a lovely car to drive. A good part of the way to Dingle was by motorway before we hit a more challenging road of hill and bends, but still very easy and no different from some roads in NZ. We drove for about five hours with a stopover at Adear. It was a beautiful day, warm and sunny and the scenery was so good. Once on the way, the drive was quite simple. We were given a GPS and this too was very helpful.
Dingle looks really fascinating, a typical Irish village, but with a beautiful outlook towards the sea. Will be able to comment more after tomorrow. Farming seems to have a presence as does the fishing industry. We have just got in from a fish meal, really fresh too.

Wow what a superb looking place!! Looks like a great place to relax! You certainly have been to some wonderful places. Well the weather has turned back to winter today - snow and sleet here today!
ReplyDeleteSam's team are the U15 rugby champions - they won their South Island Tournament today!! They are very excited - beat Waimea College 20 nil in the final in fairly average conditions! Mark has been up in Christchurch for the last few days to watch - he's on his way home now! First time John McGlashan College has ever held that title!
Controversy in the America's Cup aye!
Take care and keep enjoying yourselves!
What a great place ... you will both just relax, sleep, read, do some sightseeing when you want and recharge batteries. Looks just wonderful. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteAnd you will be made so welcome .. the Irish are just such good fun!
All good here. Cold, but we had a lovely weekend... SPRING is here. The girls decided to get into their barbie and dora bikinis and sunbathe .. with their sungalsses and umbrellas for shade. It was really hot in the sun if you were sheltered from the southwesterlie, which luckily we are in the front... Even had the sunscreen on!
Enjoy Ireland and keep up the great blogs x
